Survey

http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/PBC8MZZI thought that this assignment was a great idea. The results that I recieved back from my friends was basically the same as my answeres would have been. I think something that is controversal is the adoption issue, whether agencies should try to math the race of the children to the race of the parents. I personally don't think that it's an issue at all, if a family wants to give a child a home…See More

I don't ever remember doing anything fun with multicultural education when I was in Elementary school and I want my students to have a fun oppurtunity to learn.See More

Lesson Plans

Here is the link for my lesson plans.http://livebinders.com/edit?id=14745It seems to be much easier to incorporate multicultural lessons in history than any other subject. I would be willing to use any of the lesson plans posted in my binder. I think doing lessons that involve arts and crafts will be especially appealing to students because it is fun and shows that all cultures are fun. I think that will be what I use most to teach diversity in…See More

http://livebinders.com/play/play_or_edit?id=14864With incorportaing multicultural lessons in the classroom it would seem to be much easier in doing so with English and History. I'm hoping to teach 9th grade English and HIstory and I'd like to show my students that everybody is equal through literature and showing that the inventions and discoveries around them didn't come about just by American's.See More

Multicultural Education Lesson Plans

Link to Lesson Plans http://livebinders.com/play/play_or_edit?id=14802"><img > A Multicultural Curriculum is an important part of a 21st century education. I feel middle school students are still open to new ideas and I propose to incorporate culturally rich lessons into any subject I teach. An Introduction To Multicultural Education taught me the necessity and supplied me the “know how” to implement these concepts.…See More

Lesson Plans

I plan on teaching K-6. There are several way to incorporate multicultural education. I believe my favorite would be music because everybody loves to dance around. Music from the different countries could be brought in and done as a warm-up. Not only would the children have a great time dancing around but would learn the originality of the music and where it came from.In science and social studies, you could explain where different places are on the map, the type of weather there, the different…See More
